OK....I have received MANY emails asking what had happened to my little blog about nothing and the answer is WORK and PRINCIPAL SCHOOL (not to mention being a mom, a tailgater, and a wife ...not that I cook or clean...as I have said before that is why god created maids and chefs...nevertheless...I am still crazy busy!!)
But, alas, I finally find myself with a free second so here I go. Since I haven't blogged in several months I have SO much material back logged that I don't even know where to begin!
The first thing that pops in my mind is the weekend Jamie and Dionne came to the lake to hang out with me. We were floating around and Dionne asked "Do you think there are fish in here?"....she was totally serious! I laughed so hard that I fell off my float and nearly drowned. Mind you, we were floating in Lake Martin that is an almost 40,000 acre lake with 700 miles of shoreline.....so yeah, there is a fish or 2 and perhaps even Nessie, the Loch Ness monster's cousin swimming about!
Then later in the day she asked, "Since there are fish in here, do you think they use the bathroom in this water?"....I SWEAR I am not making this up!! I told her no and asked her if she had noticed all the many fish jumping out of the lake on the grassy banks relieving themselves...she actually stopped and thought about it trying to recall!!!! Again, real story....I am not clever enough to make this up!
In the late afternoon we we took the boat out and stopped in the big water and resumed floating around. It was dusk and Dionne asked, "SO what time does the lake close?" really.....did I mention that lake is 40,000 acres and 700 miles of shoreline???? Well, the bouncers carefully step around all the fish poop and pee on the shore and then start ringing the last call bell at midnight!!!
The point of this is post is....if you choose your friends carefully, then entertainment is free and frequent....until next time :)
