My Surrogate Life: my perspective of a miracle part 1

A few days ago I was able to have lunch with friends that I haven't seen in a while. They began talking about my "life as a surrogate"  and the entire lunch consisted of telling the story of the whole  process from beginning to now.  It has been a while since I have recalled that time in so much detail, and I must say I was very surprised that every aspect is still so vivid in my mind and emotions. After the lunch, my friends told me that I should write my story.

The more that I have thought about it, the more convinced I became. In this day and time, there is a lot of drama, hardships and sadness all around. It is very easy to get fixated on the bad and negative. With Thanksgiving next week and Christmas right around the corner, it might be nice to hear a real life story full of hope and joy.....and believe me, this is story is CHOCK-FULL of both....so I shall give it a whirl

In order to do this story justice, I am going to break into parts, so here we go!!!!

Gestational carrier is a term that is much more common today (especially with the tv show Guiliana  and Bill) but 9 years ago, I had never heard those particular words together...ever. However, once  I did, it was full steam ahead and life altering.

As much as I hate all the torment and hell that Missy and Dave had to endure for 5 years, I am very grateful that I (along with my family)  had the honor to be part a of the process of bringing the twins (a boy and girl who will be 9 in December) on to this earth. It has been such a blessing to us as well as so many others, and has truly made us better people.
